Apps for Notes & Lists & To Do’s

There is an app I have used for quite some time and recently a reader said she uses it too. So I thought I would share it with everyone. This is an Android app. There is no iPhone version of the app. However, I did find something similar to it so I am sharing that one as well.

Color Note I have used ColorNote for shopping lists for quite some time now. I like that you can create a list and then when you are shopping you can just tap each item to mark it off the list. It turns gray and has a little check mark by it. It’s called ColorNote because you can also use colors for different notes. You can make your note a check list, like for shopping, or a text note. You can even passcode protect them. Share your notes via emails Facebook, text a friend, lots of options. I am selfish with my notes and do not share them. The app also has a calendar and To Do’s. This is a free app you can download from the Play Store.

iNoteBox Now for you iPhone users I found something called iNoteBox. It would appear that it does all the same stuff that ColorNote does along with some additional very cool features. You have options to insert video and voice clips, maps and photos. It integrates with Google Docs & Dropbox and supports air-print. You can download it from the App Store.

These are both free apps.

What do you use for your shopping lists? Do you use a calendar app? Do you use a To Do app? Do you use an app that does all of this?

The iPhone & iPad comewith a Notes app that is part of the package. It interfaces with iCloud. I love the fact that when i creat a note it shows up on my desktop, laptop and iPad. I use it all the time for any number of things. 🙂

When I first got my iPhone I toyed with the idea of using the Notes App for my grocery list, but then that idea fell by the wayside. I just downloaded the iNoteBox. My ultimate app shopping list would need to be a masterlist where that week's items could be highlighted and then checked off. The app does have a diary function which I will have to check out. I just bought a $1.99 App called Day One that can be set to remind the user to make a short journal entry. It's pretty basic, but looks interesting, espeically since I will never go back through decades of my other long journal entries.

Let me know how iNoteBox works out for you. It sounds like it should do what you want it to. That ultimate shopping list you speak of is why I like ColorNote. 🙂

Grocery shopping? I should do that someday. 🙂
Confession: my husband does most of the grocery shopping which means this is what we have in our house: salad supplies (good), frozen pizza, beer, milk and almond milk (for me), pretzels, tortilla chips, cereal and the occassional loaf of bread. 🙂 We go out to eat a lot. 🙂
I do have an app I use for lists though. But I don't remember the name of it.

Oooh, will have to check this out. It ticks me off that Siri won't take a shopping list dictation.

They say that siri is getting better with each new update.
