“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.”

By: Henry Ford

When I saw this quote I just had to post it. It speaks volumes, at least for me anyway. There are so many times where all I can see are the reasons why something cannot work. When I put my eyes back on my goal I have more clarity about how to remove or get around those obstacles. There is more than one way to accomplish something. Stop focusing on the ways something cannot be done, and focus on the ways it can be done.

  1. Henry Ford accomplished quite a bit. Imagine he was actually put on trial at one point with claims that he was too stupid to do what he was doing.

  2. Good one!! Could also be re-phrased to say Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you open your eyes in the middle of the night.

By the way did you know that Henry Ford went bancrupt before he succeeded? He learnt and moved on becuase he passionately believed in what he was doing.

That's what I've decided. Life is too to find excuses when a person could be using that time to actually accomplish the task at hand.

I am so with you here. That's why I am pushing my self beyond my comfort zone. If I want to grow, there is no other way. 🙂

Good quote Cheryl, although sometimes I find obstacles come around because the goal is not right and your gut instinct is trying to tell you that.

  7. Good quote Cheryl. You have to just keep your eyes on were you want to go otherwise life is way too distracting.

In other words, keep your eyes on the prize? Ha, ha – that's about all I ever learned in elementary school!
