What Are You Thankful For?

As we celebrate this Thanksgiving holiday I would like to take a moment to mention some of the things I am thankful for.

  • My health
  • The roof over my head
  • I have enough to eat
  • Those I love are doing well
  • My fur ‘children’
  • I am now a published author
  • My new blogger friends

The list could go on and on as I think about how truly blessed I am.

My thoughts go out to those who cannot say the same this holiday; the survivors of Sandy come to mind. Many of them still have no home in which to celebrate. My thoughts and prayers are with them as they struggle to recover.

A special shout out to all those who serve in the military. Thanks for all you do.

So while you and I are enjoying all the good food, family, and friends this holiday let us not forget to take time to be thankful.

    You know Cheryl Thanksgiving is actually a holiday worth celebrating. In Scandinavia we don't but should.

    All human beings should stop and look at what they have to be thankful for. Actually always do and the list you wrote and many other things as well applies to me as well.

    By the way, have you ever thought of the fact that 80% of the world's population would cut off their arms and legs to be in our shoes? Sometimes mentions that when people complain about the kind of problems we have in the developed world.

    Hope you had a great Thanksgiving – like you, I surely did appreciate the meaning of this wonderful holiday (and stayed home Black Friday).
