that's a good quote. Yay for J.K. Rowling. 🙂
If this is true–and I'm pretty positive it is, then this is good for many of us. Choices are things we can control. Abilities, not as much. We can always get a little better at our abilities, but we can more so control our choices.
Love the motivational monday quote.
Very good point! Choices we can control. Abilities can be nurtured, but choices tell the world who you are. 🙂
Our choices often enhance our abilities. I chose once to challenge a manager. It led to me becoming a change leader. Had I held to traditional thinking, I might have stayed quiet, gone along and in that, not much improvement.
Truthful quote.

Another very good point. Making a choice can enhance our natural abilities. So glad you did not stay quiet! 🙂
J.K Rowling's story is quite amazing in it own right. This quote from her is perfect and reflects her and the challenges she faced in life and as an author. The quote says so much in so little words but you could write a book about it's meaning.
For me?… it says I can and should make the choices that feel right for me. These choices won't always fit with what other's think I should do. My choices may appear to abandon my abilities/talents from my past work life. However, they are my choice and I am willing the live with the consequences. Shish all that from a simple quote. 🙂
I could not have said it better myself. 🙂
Hmm… I have the ability to leave comments on any post in the universe. I choose to leave a comment on this one. Does that say you are making me think for today?
I love the discussion.
Awe… I am glad you chose this post! 🙂
So true. I am ABLE to eat an entire banana cream pie. But I CHOOSE to eat only a slice.
I SO love that example! 🙂
Very true. But the word "our" is key here. Making your own choices instead of simply following others makes leaders.
You are correct. The 'our' is key in this. 🙂
