After reading Susan Cooper’s blog post at Finding Our Way Now about blog awards I decided to do one myself and carry her new tradition forward.
Like Susan I have received awards from bloggers and they always bring a smile to my face. It is nice to be considered a friend among them. So I am going to recognize one of them, the most recent one, and then carry Susan’s award forward.
A. K. Andrew presented me with the Sunshine Award back in November and I have been sitting on it. My bad… A. K. writes over at Writers Notebook. Thank you A. K.!

Some interesting facts about me that you may or may not want to know:
- My favorite color is red. When I was younger it was blue. I grew older and it was purple. Now it is red.
- I experience data panic if I don’t have access to the Internet.
- I love taking pictures but I am horrible at it.
- My avatar is Geek Girl, but will soon be Geek Grandma.
- I have a ‘thing’ going on with dark chocolate. Yes. I admit to sometimes indulging too much.
- I am a recovering app addict.
- Like Susan Cooper I have never been on a cruise.
- My second book is on the way. Fingers crossed it won’t arrive long after the grandchild does…
That’s not 10 things, but I think that’s enough about me. I am sure you agree.

It's always nice to be able to show off a little award bling 🙂 I think I'll have to save up passing my Best Blog Supporter Award for when I'm moving. Oh, and I love purple too. Then yellow. Red is third on my list.
Wow, I'm impressed with all the awards you've won. Congratulations. I've never been a cruise, either, and have no intention of doing so in the future. I'm a land lubber at heart.
If you can call it a cruise, I did spend 7 months on ship for the first Gulf war. Much of that time we would spend over a month without seeing land.

I like red, too. You look more like a girl than a Grandma, and I mean that as a big compliment (a youthful feel to your writing as well).
I think I wouldn't mind a cruise if it docked a lot, and I spent most of the time on land.
I stopped buying the dark chocolate that I like and instead buy the sweeter one. That way, my kids eat it, and I don't. Love a good, rich dark chocolate.
