Hot Candy

I was introduced to this wonderful and addictive candy as a child. My siblings and I would attend the Saturday movie matinee and buy these. We were very careful to divide them evenly between us. OK I admit there were more than a few squabbles over the division of this precious treat and how fair it was.

To this day I cannot have these candies in the house or I eat them, ALL of them. Seriously… It’s like potato chips, you can’t eat just one or two or…

Now I could claim the health benefits of eating this cinnamon flavored candy, but alas it contains no cinnamon – per Wikipedia (if you can believe that source). Big sigh…

Do you have any favorite treats that were introduced to you during childhood?

I still like the gummy Swedish Goldfish. Another favorite was dippin' sticks, though at times I remember kinda chocking on the powder.

I love these as well and you are right you can't just eat one. 😉 I am also like Jeriwb, I love swedish fish as well. Don't put candy near me or I will eat it all too.

  3. I must be weird I never really liked hot tamales. I'm not sure why. Heath and Sprees remind me of my childhood though.
