And that goes along with the Chinese proverb, The journey is the reward. All good.

    • Geek Girl says:

Yes. I agree. It's the journey not the destination that matters.

  2. findingourwaynow says:

The so fits certain situations at times. I just wish the reward didn't have to be so hard at times… LOL

    • Geek Girl says:

No one ever said it would be easy. 🙂

      • findingourwaynow says:

        Dang it any way… LOL

        • Geek Girl says:

          Ain't it the truth? 🙂

I have never heard of this quote or the man who said it–who is he? This is a great quote and I'm thinking about doing a video on this one. Too often, we are concerned to much by what we "get" from our toils, and missing out on the big "thing" or "character" that we become by our toil.

    • Geek Girl says:

Well now you have heard of someone new! 🙂 And I agree with you that sometimes we miss the character building aspects of our toils.

  4. I completely agree. My favorite quote is along the same lines by Rose Kennedy " It's not what happens to you in life that's important , but how you deal with it.'
Funny how so few words can provide so much thought. Good post!

    • Geek Girl says:

Yes. These quotes do provoke thought. That's what I love about them! 🙂

If little girls can get their ears pierced, I'd like little boys to get this tattooed so my son will know why I pushed him so hard to do his schoolwork better. In other words, great quote.
