Keeper – Password & Data Vault

By

Keeper Password & Data Vault After my post about passwords and security I received requests regarding password managers. So to address those requests I have found a great app that will work for both iPhone / iPad and Android users. It also states that it will work on PCs. So everyone is invited to this party…

This app boasts military-grade encryption. That alone made me want to try it. So create and keep your passwords with the same app. There is a paid version available if you want to use cloud storage. I am downloading the free version of the app. When it comes to creating unique passwords that meet security criteria I need all the help I can get.

Android users get yours Keeper Password & Data Vault . iPhone users get yours Keeper Password & Data Vault . Windows users check it out Keeper Password & Data Vault .

Which password managers do you use and why?

I was thinking about this too after I read your post about security. But, is an app secure in itself? It just seems like putting your passwords in an app would be vulnerable to theft as well. What do you think?

    • Geek Girl says:

I chose this app because it has military grade encryption. If you run a business or anything where you have LOTS of logins and passwords to keep track of, it would be a nightmare to do it manually. My husband has thousands of clients with web sites he works on. There is no way he could function without an app. He does not use this one. He has a paid app. I understand your concerns. That's why whatever you choose to use must meet a minimum of security criteria.

I think I'll check this one out and see how it goes.

I have this app and would not know what I would do without it. So many password so little brain space… LOL
PS: I tried some others and this one was the most secure.

Your recommendation is good enough for me! šŸ™‚

This was interesting I will tell me dad about it and see what he thinks he is my go to guy for computer advice…….

      Excellent!

Yay! Thanks for the tip – this app had a lot of good reviews so I was tempted to buy it but until now, I didn't know anyone personally who recommended it. Now I've got my answer. Thanks!

      Excellent! šŸ™‚

  6. Guest says:

The free version will expire and you will need to buy a yearly subscription if you intend to use the app on more than one device and sync between them. This applies to cloud backup etc. etc.

Oh wow, thanks for sharing. I'll have to check it out (unless you know) to see if I can share between phones or other Apple accounts. I have passwords to a lot of my financial accounts that my wife doesn't have memorized… I need to write them all down somewhere for her, but this could be even better.

    • Geek Girl says:

My understanding is that you can sync between devices but only with the paid version. I also had a guest mention that the free version expires after a period of time. Things to keep in mind. Susan says she uses this and loves it so you have a good recommendation there. šŸ™‚

Indeed a very useful program to have. I don't own a Smart Phone–way too expensive for my budget.. But I will download the one for PC's. You can never be too careful with passwords. The more awkward the better.

    • Geek Girl says:

Hey there Diplo Daddy – I thought you had fallen off the face of the earth. Been to your site a few times since you left and then decided to wait until I heard from you again. šŸ™‚ Glad you are back and all is well.
