#Burpee Garden Time Planner: App Review

This is probably the first of many apps I will be reviewing in an effort to find one that works best for me. This app does meet one very important requirement: it is FREE. They have versions on both iOS & Android.

My goal in choosing a gardening app is to have something besides my Calendar to remind me when it’s time for certain things. What date range should you be transplanting seeds started indoors to your outside garden. When should you expect to begin harvesting root vegetables. Most of us like ‘To Do’ lists or ‘Task’ lists. This app addresses this desire and applies it to gardening.

The following are screen shots taken on my iPhone.

They also have a weather tab, but I have another app I use for that. I am just beginning to play with this app to see what it does and how well it addresses my needs.

Do you have an app that you use for gardening? What is it and why do you like it?

  1. Who knew? I didn't realize that gardening had gotten so high tech!!! That is totally amazing. Thx for sharing, Cheryl, and Happy Easter!

  2. What a fantastic app. Sounds perfect for someone like me who is not very knowledgeable about these things. Thanks so much for the review.

Sounds like a very handy app for those of us that are trying to juggle gardening, cooking, blogging, etc. Will have to give it a try!

I can see how this kind of app would come in handy. My sense of timing when it comes to planting is all off now since things could be planted so much earlier in NC than in ID.
