Breast Cancer Survivor: Twenty Years and Counting

Cheryl Therrien

Just a quick note today for those of you who may not be aware…

I am thrilled to announce that I had my first post published on Yahoo Voices. It stresses the importance of doing self-examinations and how they saved my life.

It would be very much appreciated if you could stop by and check it out. This link will take you there.

Thanks so much for your support! And don’t forget to do your self-examinations! šŸ™‚

That is quite a story. It certainly sets a great explample for self exams and the very reason to do them. šŸ™‚

Congratulations on the article, Cheryl, and ESPECIALLY for your 20 years of being cancer free!

Cheryl — I just read your inspiring story on Yahoo. You were so fortunate that you caught your cancer early. So sad that breast cancer runs in your family. A family history causes some women to take drastic measures, witness Angelina Jolie who had a double mastectomy as a preventive measure. Congratulations on your 20-year anniversary.

Congrats on writing and sharing your story. It also reminds me not to be remiss in doing self-exams. I tried to comment on the Yahoo site, but it wouldn't let me for some reason, but I did share the post.
