B lueNEXT Bluetooth Headset: Product Review

Headset in fingertips

I received this tiny little device from our friends at MobileFun. In case you do not already know they also offer accessories for other phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Pairing this device could not have been easier. I have had some headsets that were an absolute nightmare to pair and retain the pairing. Not this baby… Once you turn on the headset and turn on the bluetooth function on your phone, your phone will find the headset, you enter the code to confirm the pairing, and you’ve got it. The headset light will flash 2 times every 5 seconds to confirm it is paired. If it did not pair with your phone, it will flash 1 time every 3 seconds. Once paired your headset and phone will find each other automatically as long as your phone’s bluetooth function remains active. I cannot tell you how many headsets I have had that I have had to pair again every time it is turned off and then on again.

I love it that this headset is so light weight that you will find yourself reaching for it to see if you still have it on. Seriously…

The only thing I found a bit challenging was using the volume buttons. There are 2 buttons – one on each side, top and bottom – of the headset. If you wear the headset on your right ear, the up volume button was on the bottom. I found myself hitting the wrong button. My thought was that one end of the button was for turning up the volume and the other for turning it down. It is simply habit from other headsets. This headset is so small it makes sense that they made it this way.

This headset also supports multi-point technology. You can pair it with 2 phones. Some people do use 2 phones, as in one for work and one personal. Maybe you share the headset with someone else. It has an extensive list of phones it is compatible with so it is a safe bet that your phone would work with this.

Overall I found this headset to be one of the best I have ever used. It is certainly the most comfortable I have ever used.

Once again many thanks to MobileFun for allowing me to try this great headset! This one is a keeper!

  1. Would that work with something like a voice recorder for an iPad? I don't use a phone often enough to need something like this but I could use it for audio pod castsandsuch if it worked.

  2. Wow! That sounds like an amazing unit, Cheryl! Thanks for the review. I will definitely keep this on hand and purchase when I'm ready to buy a headset.

I'm Have few bluetooth headset but haven't used them much lately. It sounds interesting, but I'm not sure it would be as useful as it might have been for be at one time. 🙂
