  1. Leora says:

I love the brevity of the titles! Two and half months does not sound like – you must be a natural writer.

    • Geek Girl says:

I am thinking there may be a formula involved somewhere. 🙂

  2. Susan Oakes says:

Good interview Cheryl and her tip about writing the book you want to read should help those who are waiting to write a book.

  3. Taking control of your own endeavors seems to be the running theme for the start of this new year. I think the best part of that is you really can finally write the books you want to read.

    • Geek Girl says:

2013 is going to be a very good and interesting year for a lot of people. 🙂

  4. Dan Meyers says:

Wow, it takes me two months to write some posts! 🙂

Great interview, and I like the part about there always being a happily ever after… an optimistic mindset is so important.

    • Geek Girl says:

LOL I like to take my time with posts too! I think yours are more challenging given your topic. 🙂

  5. Susan Cooper says:

I love the optimistic approach of this writer with a good ultimate ending. Life is hard enough, without hope it makes it much more difficult. WOW… I can't even imagine writing something in 2 1/2 months… But then again we did it with "Dream Catchers". Love the review.:)))

  6. Geek Girl says:

I love that too! Write what you like to read. I am actually taking that advice. 🙂

  7. Geek Girl says:

Optimism is the name of the game in 2013. That's my view. Nothing but good stuff happening. 🙂

  8. Mervyn Byrd says:

Amazing. I am very impressed with the idea that it only takes 2.5 months to write a book. I'd like to publish someday, but like Dan, I take half of forever to publish some of my blog posts. 🙂 Good interview.

  9. klagowski says:

How on earth does she write a book in two and a half months?!? Great advice and inspiration for anyone looking to write a book. What I'm reading between the lines is that this is a very motivated and disciplined woman – good for her!

    • Geek Girl says:

I can only think that she has some sort of formula she uses. Still working on one for myself. 🙂

  10. projectwhitespace says:

Love this interview! What a clever title for her book, too–Inappropriate. Makes you want to pick it up and read it to figure out what is so inappropriate!!
I also liked her add on–there will always be a happily ever after for you–just believe. That's what she wanted to tell us–her readers!! What a heart!
    🙂

  11. Geek Girl says:

yeah, I take some time with my stuff too. 🙂

  12. Geek Girl says:

LOL I agree with you. And I believe! 🙂

  13. JeriWB says:

I definitely identify with the advice to write the book you want to read. Part of why it's taken me so long to get into my drafting groove was because I was too busy think about what readers would want rather than where my heart told me to take the story,

    • Geek Girl says:

What's that old saying? Listen to your heart because it will never lead you astray? Something like that… I like the idea of writing what you want to read yourself. 🙂

  14. Love the interview Cheryl. Not least since it's short to the point which is perfect for online reading. And Sherry is spot on when she advice potential authors to write the book they want to read. The same goes for journalism:-)

    • Geek Girl says:

I could not agree more. 🙂 Thanks.

  15. Kurt says:

I love the plot. Throw in that title and the fit is perfect!

    • Geek Girl says:

      Agree! 🙂

  16. namirusso says:

"I live life and then say…What if…?" – this is the best advice and I'll definitely try it. Thanks for the interview, Cheryl.

    • Geek Girl says:

      I love that too! 🙂
